Point Taken: Inside Canada’s Efforts to Fight Corruption and Raise Its CPI Score

Inside Canada’s Efforts to Fight Corruption and Raise Its CPI Score

    Overview
Make no mistake, Transparency International is keeping score. The organization’s annual Corruption Perception Index (CPI) shows that Canada’s score has dropped four points since 2018 and 11 points since 2012. While its 11th place ranking compares favorably with 25th place US, high profile cases like SNC-Lavalin and public inquiries such as the Cullen Commission in BC have raised red flags with the international AML community including FATF and OECD. To its credit, Canada seems determined to clean up its act and reclaim its place on the list of the CPI’s top 10 countries. Join this webinar for a dynamic discussion on Canada’s fight against bribery and corruption.
