The Senior AML Specialist role within the local AML team acts as a subject matter expert performing AML due diligence reviews and assessments of investors in accordance with SS&C’s regional AML policies.   


The Senior AML Specialist is a member of SS&C’s global AML group and will report through a defined regional group structure.  The regional group report ultimately to the Global AML Director. 


Key day-to-day responsibilities of the role include:


  • Detailed knowledge of policy and procedures
  • Timely review of internal query handling
  • Accurate review, assessment and decision making of investor documentation requirements and risk ratings
  • Processing of ongoing nightly screening alerts
  • Assistance with board pack and MLRO reporting
  • Ongoing participation with consistent ad-hoc requests stemming from internal audit, MLRO or regulatory onsite visits, inspections or audits. 


Experience and background of a successful applicant will include:


  • Prior experience in dedicated AML/KYC or investor service roles within a fund administrator or financial services firm.  Minimum three years relevant experience.
  • Existing knowledge with certain regional AML regimes (CIMA, BMA, CSSF, ICB)
  • Strong investigative and problem solving analysis
  • Excellent time management and able to deal positively with challenges and time pressures
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining consistency with policy and procedure expectations
  • Strong written and verbal communication including the ability to assist with written reports, memos and policy development
